CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 24, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Roberts PolyPro, a ProMach product brand and innovative manufacturer and supplier of sustainable handles for bottles, cans and more, is gearing up to attend PACK EXPO International, scheduled for November 3-6, 2024 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.
Visitors to the Roberts PolyPro booth, number S-3520, will have the opportunity to see their now-fully-biodegradable multipacks on display, including the new Craft-Pak® Versa can carriers, and experience live demos of the SSMA Single-Station Bottle Multipack Applicator, designed to increase production, boost efficiency and simplify the handling of bulky products.
"It has always been Roberts PolyPro's mission to practice environmental stewardship," said Michael Black, Vice President & General Manager at Roberts PolyPro. "We took a hard look at the ecological footprint in our industry and decided to set a new standard with 100% biodegradable multipack solutions for bottles, cans and other consumer goods. I'm confident our certification is a proactive step to inspiring positive change within our industry."
Transitioning their product line to 100% biodegradable materials was a hard-won milestone. The new products underwent rigorous third-party testing in controlled laboratory conditions simulating urban landfill environments, where discarded multipacks typically end up.The company's low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic Grip-Pak® can carriers fully decomposed within 28 weeks, while their high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic products, including Craft-Pak® and Craft-Pak® Versa can carriers and all multipack bottle handles, took 56 weeks to biodegrade completely.Since biodegradable multipacks can break down in a matter of months, this decreases the waste sitting in landfills, marking a significant win for the environment.
"With consumers increasingly demanding eco-friendly solutions for bottled and canned beverages, we're proud to offer a truly sustainable option that meets both environmental and business needs," Michael Black, Vice President & General Manager at Roberts PolyPro.
You can learn more about the company's 100% biodegradable bottle and can multipacks, applicator equipment and other innovative plastic packaging solutions by visiting booth S-3520 at PACK EXPO International on November 3-6, 2024.
