Robins & Morton Wins National Excellence in Construction Award for CARBO Project
Birmingham, Alabama (PRWEB) March 18, 2015 -- Robins & Morton won a 2014 National Excellence in Construction Pyramid award from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) for the CARBO Millen Line 1 Proppant Manufacturing Facility project. ABC’s Excellence in Construction Awards program recognizes outstanding construction projects across the country based on safety, quality, teamwork, planning and innovation.
Robins & Morton provided engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services on the CARBO manufacturing facility in Millen, Georgia. The project achieved an extraordinary safety rate of 650,423 work hours with zero recordables and zero lost time incidents, contributing to Robins & Morton also earning ABC’s esteemed Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Platinum award. Unexpected severe weather posed unique challenges throughout the project, but despite losing 50 days during construction, the project completed on time.
