Robotic Sensation “AIMe” Will Be Introduced to Hollywood Over Oscar Weekend

AIMe will be introduced to 2014 Academy Award nominees and filmmakers over Oscar® Weekend in Hollywood Friday, February 28th and Saturday, March 1st at the L'Ermitage Beverly Hills.
“AIMe uses patent-pending technology to automatically aim a camera at a person or other thing. Jigabot’s AIMe device was proclaimed to be “the Star of the Sundance Film Festival” by Sun-dance Festival co-founder Sterling VanWagenen last month, because of AIMe’s ability to track an actor automatically, aiming an attached camera.
“Cinematographers using AIMe can much more easily get fascinating new shots from angles and locations that were previously not possible. And a single cinematographer can operate multiple cameras to optimize simultaneous coverage of action,” according to Rick Stout, co-founder and CEO of Jigabot.
“The applications are endless… a sound engineer can use AIMe on the end of a boom pole (or attached to a set prop) to ensure that a microphone is always aimed at the talent, regardless of movement. Additionally, a gaffer can use AIMe to aim LED lights at an actor or other object while moving around,” Stout continued.

A version of AIMe designed for small video cameras, such as the GoPro camera, will become available to consumers beginning in June, and is expected to be very popular in this age of “self broadcasting” on YouTube.
