Rock West Composites Celebrates the Grand Opening of Its New Production Facility in Tijuana, Mexico with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
At the end of October, Rock West Composites hosted the grand opening of its new facility in Baja Mexico with a tour, presentation, ribbon-cutting ceremony, food and entertainment. Joining the festivities for the company's first binational venture were key staff members, support staff and customers who helped launch the project.
SAN DIEGO, Nov. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Last week, Rock West Composites held the grand opening of its new composites production facility in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. In attendance were key customers, employees and support staff that helped establish this operation. The grand opening event included a tour of the facilities, a presentation on business objectives, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Afterwards, the guests enjoyed lunch and traditional mariachi music for entertainment.
Mr. Carlos Arganda, the Director of Operations for the plant, conducted the tour. Included were the production areas for manufacturing processes including resin infusion, bladder molding, roll wrapping, wet layup, and precision composite assembly. Also toured were the climate-controlled area for clean manufacturing, the loading docks, and a new paint and grinding booth under construction.
Jim Gormican, CEO of Rock West Composites, presented information on the growth path for this international venture and how it supports expansion of US operations. "By opening this facility, we are able to reduce costs and that will help keep us competitive for certain types of programs.
