Rockler Expands Exclusive Ceiling Track System with 90° Curve, Extension Rods and Universal Mount
Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has expanded its exclusive Ceiling Track System with new products that increase track layout possibilities, extend the system's reach and enable users to suspend a wider variety of items.
MEDINA, Minn., Oct. 3, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has expanded its exclusive Ceiling Track System with new products that increase track layout possibilities, extend the system's reach and enable users to suspend a wider variety of items.
"The Ceiling Track System has given users a new way of positioning cords and hoses from above to avoid knocking things off of their work surface," said Steve Krohmer, Rockler's vice president for product development. "These new accessories allow greater customization and dramatically increase the system's versatility."
The 90° Curve (https://www.rockler.com/90-deg-curve-for-rockler-ceiling-track-system) allows users to connect sections of straight Rockler ceiling track to create a run that turns at right angles, a U-shaped run or a closed square or rectangular run that covers the entire surface of a work table. The Curve is molded from durable plastic with tabs to help ensure easy alignment and smooth motion of the system's trolleys and glides and comes with mounting hardware.
The Extension Rods (https://www.rockler.com/extension-rod-for-rockler-ceiling-track-system) are made from rigid zinc-plated steel and enable users to mount system accessories lower if needed. Each rod provides 12" in extension, and up to three rods can be joined. With a 5/16"-18 threaded post on one end and 5/16"-18 threaded socket on the other, the rods are compatible with all Rockler Ceiling Track System trolleys and hooks.
The Universal Mount (https://www.rockler.com/universal-mount-for-rockler-ceiling-track-system) features an adjustable arm and an interchangeable mounting plate and threaded adapter, enabling users to precisely position cameras, lights, fans and almost anything else. Like the Extension Rods, the Universal Mount has a 5/16"-18 threaded post on one end and 5/16"-18 threaded socket on the other, making it compatible with other system components. The articulating arm provides tilting adjustment and features interlocking teeth to set the angle, while rubber washers allow users to rotate the mount and then lock in the desired position. The 2-1/2" diameter steel universal mounting plate has holes and slots sized for #8 screws for mounting flexibility, and an included 5/16"-18 x 1" to 1/4"-20 x 1/4" reducer allows easy mounting of cameras.
The new accessories join the straight track, locking and non-locking trolleys, hooks and curtain gliders previously introduced as part of the Ceiling Track System.
The 90° Curve (52739) and the Universal Mount (52404) are priced at $14.99 each; the Extension Rods (55097) are priced at $5.99 each.
