Rockler Woodworking Launches the Bent Wood Design Challenge

MEDINA, Minn., Sept. 24, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Rockler Woodworking and Hardware is challenging its customers to take part in the #RocklerBentWoodChallenge, hosted by woodworking YouTubers Mike Montgomery, Chris Salomone and Bey Uyeda from The Modern Maker Podcast.

The Bent Wood Challenge is a call for building projects that use some form of bending wood, whether that's bent lamination, steam bending, kerf bending, etc. This woodworking method is often used for building furniture, including items such as rocking chairs.

Challenge winners will be chosen by YouTubers Mike Montgomery (Modern Builds), Chris Salomone (Foureyes Furniture) and Ben Uyeda (HomeMade Modern), who each submitted their own projects as inspiration:

Participants are encouraged to track their progress and share final pictures on Instagram using the hashtag #RocklerBentWoodChallenge by October 31. The first, second and third place winners will each receive a Rockler gift card for $500, $250 and $125, respectively.
