Roer's Zoofari Welcomes LuminoCity Festival Light Exhibit
LuminoCity Festival, an immersive light display experience, will open to visitors at Roer's Zoofari on October 15th. The exhibit promises holiday fun for the whole family and features stunning light sculptures inspired by different cultures, social media pet stars, and work from young local artists.
RESTON, Va., Oct. 12, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ahead of the 2021 holiday season, local zoo Roer's Zoofari is hosting the LuminoCity Festival, a one-of-a-kind outdoor holiday light display experience. The festival, which opens on Friday, October 15th, includes African, Asian, Arid, and Ancient-themed exhibits of spectacularly lit art displays set up in the zoo's walk-through area.
This year's festival is LuminoCity's third annual light display, but 2021 marks the first time the festival is coming to a location outside of the New York area. A new exhibit this year, 'Lumi's Utopia,' will feature the artwork of six incredible, young artists from local communities in Virginia and New York. Their 2D art designs, which took inspiration from the theme 'My Favorite Gift,' will be brought to life as luminous 3D art sculptures.
In addition to the new Utopia creations, the annual 'Lumi's Friends' exhibit is back again with a new line-up of animal faces. LuminoCity's team will bring to life twelve of today's most popular social media pet stars as light sculptures, including Navy and Duke, Cole and Marmalade, and TurboRoo.
