Rohit Group of Companies Supporting Homeless Through Under One Umbrella Society
(PRWEB) March 11, 2014 -- Rohit Group of Companies, understands the importance of having valuable networks set up in order to succeed. That’s why Rohit Group of Companies has returned as a sponsor of the Under One Umbrella Homeless Connect Event.
The Under One Umbrella Homeless Connect Event and Watari Counselling & Support Services Society work together to bring an annual event together to support those who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or families having a hard time with the appropriate care and community services in East Vancouver. The area in Vancouver unfortunately sees an overwhelming amount of people who, due to a variety of circumstances, are in incredibly tough and deflating situations. This is why it is crucial to provide them with the necessary aid and mediums to help them overcome adversity and turn the corner into a better time in their lives.
“We are advocators of giving people an opportunity to thrive and succeed by giving them the tools needed to do so,” says Linh Pham, Senior Marketing Coordinator of Rohit Group of Companies, “our company believes in building people up.” Rohit Group’s donation will go towards funding ten individuals of the program to complete a food safe course in exchange for working at the event while being paid a living wage. Offering new skills and an opportunity to earn experience is central to the support provided.

We have been working together for ten years to address important social issues in our community like poverty, homelessness and harm reduction in creative and inclusive ways. The Under One Umbrella homeless connect event is our annual signature project.
