After allegations of sexual assault were made against Nathan D., a minor, California criminal defense attorney Ken Rosenfeld of The Rosenfeld Law Firm conducted a pre-file intervention that successfully dissuaded the Alameda County District Attorney's Office from filing charges against the firm's client.
SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 4, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Rosenfeld Law Firm announces that no sexual assault case will be brought against a juvenile client by the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, thanks to a pre-file intervention made by California criminal defense attorney Ken Rosenfeld.
In July of 2019, Nathan D., a minor, was informed by law enforcement that allegations of sexual assault were made against him in Alameda County. In the event these allegations led to formal charges being brought against Nathan, the teenager potentially faced jail time and registration as a sex offender. Rosenfeld endeavored to support Nathan's innocence through a pre-file investigation, the results of which ultimately persuaded the Alameda County DA's Office not to file a case against the minor.
"We received word from Assistant DA Matthew R. Golde that he would not be filing charges, and that, in the interest of justice, all parties were in agreement with this course of action," said Rosenfeld. "Nathan's parents are greatly relieved that their son will be able to leave all this behind. His record remains clear and his future is bright again. The good news came just days before Nathan's 18th birthday, which gives them more reason to celebrate."
