Ross Optical Expands Capabilities in Response to Customer Study

Ross Optical’s 2013 Customer Satisfaction Survey results show that customer satisfaction is on the rise, at 4.5 out of 5, with many customers commenting on Ross Optical’s quality of service and quick response to issues and questions.
The survey, along with concerted outreach to understand customers’ business and technology drivers, has resulted in a continuous improvement program and investment plan, including:
- ISO 9001:2008 certification in process
- Expanded ITAR registered product list
- New micro optics specialty catalog
- New custom and catalog aspheres
- Custom OEM optics and assembly capabilities
Customers were asked to rate Ross Optical in various performance categories using a rating scale of 1 through 5, with 5 being the best. The company received an average score of at least 4 in all categories, with 5’s in Quality, Customer Service, and Overall Performance.
“Customers have consistently rated our customer service and engineering expertise as excellent—this is where we’re able to save companies money with the right optics, coating and assembly techniques,” Ross Optical President Divi Mangadu said. “We appreciate their comments and insight, and we’re acting on it.”
Top customer needs include ever-smaller, lighter optics and more complex assemblies, in order to improve product performance and drive out weight and cost.
New developments such as Ross Optical’s in-progress ISO certification and new micro optics and aspheric lens capabilities will help the company continue to grow and serve its customers while offering the high level of quality and performance they have already come to expect.
