Round Rock Public Library Presents Food for Fines
Round Rock, TX (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- The Round Rock Public Library announces its Food for Fines Week from May 5-11, 2014. During this time library members will get $1 in current overdue fines* waived for each can or package of the following foods:
Canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned soup, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, canned meat and tuna, pasta, rice, beans, cereal
Food items will be donated to the Round Rock Area Serving Center, a partner agency of the Capital Area Food Bank.
There's no limit on the amount of items that can be donated! For example, 5 cans = $5 off of your overdue fines.
Canned goods or items in boxes, plastic bags or jars (no glass can be accepted) must be brought to a staff member at the circulation desk on the first floor of the Round Rock Public Library to receive credit.
Remember:
No glass containers
No open packages
No repackaged or expired food
No dented cans
No soda or other non-nutritional beverages
