Commercial Development Resources (CDR) welcomes back alumni Royce Eklund, P.E. to open and manage a brand new east coast office in support of the company's booming growth, expanded state licensing, and increasing range of geographic work.
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 22, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Commercial Development Resources (CDR), California's premier civil engineering land development firm announced today that the company has hired Royce Eklund, P.E. to spearhead the opening of CDR's new east coast office located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
With professional engineering licenses in nine states – including California, Washington, Arizona, Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, North Carolina, Tennessee, and South Carolina, Royce is the perfect candidate to launch CDR's east coast office and spearhead growth outside of California. Eklund is a California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering. He spent 5 years at CDR working alongside Principal Aaron Albertson and Director of Civil Engineering Mario Lomeli.
After working at CDR, Eklund moved to the East Coast and took an engineering position at North Carolina-based LandDesign. At LandDesign, Eklund gained valuable experience working on a variety of projects including multi-family affordable housing, mixed-use residential, residential single family, townhomes, dry utility duct banks, ground-up commercial and reuse, regional/large-scale stormwater BMP design, and greenways. Working on these projects on the East Coast offered a great learning opportunity to further diversify his engineering skills and development.
