RS21 has been awarded the IRS Data Mashing Solution Requirement to improve data collection for governmentwide procurement. The contract was awarded through the innovative Pilot IRS program, a new acquisition method that uses a multiphase approach to allow the IRS to test new technologies on faster timelines without added risk. The first phase solution challenge will focus on three goals: bringing together several datasets in an easy-to-use visualization, promoting the use of labor and wage data, and achieving near-term improvements in the number of datasets and rigor of analysis.
“RS21 is thrilled to be working with the IRS in its efforts to provide innovative, holistic solutions for better acquisition planning and improved contract negotiations across government agencies,” said Charles Rath, President and CEO of RS21.
A leader in artificial intelligence and data science, RS21 has extensive experience developing data analytics and automated solutions for federal government clients, including the Department of Homeland Security, General Services Administration, and Department of Energy.
The first phase of the Data Mashing Initiative includes project awards to RS21 and three other companies and a 120-day period to complete the work. Solutions that support project priorities may be advanced to subsequent phases with a funding ceiling of $7 million.
RS21’s solution, in accordance with project goals, will seek to modernize the collection, analysis, availability, and visualization of acquisition data to support smarter, faster decision-making and lower costs in government procurement and contracting expenses.
