SAE International to Host Symposium on Fuels, Lubricants and Aftertreatment
Warrendale, Pa. (PRWEB) September 26, 2013 -- SAE International will host the “2013 Fuels, Lubricants and Aftertreatment Symposium: Achieving Fuel Economy and GHG Targets” at the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach, Calif., Nov. 18-21.
Across the globe, government regulations are requiring greater fuel efficiency and a reduction of greenhouse gases for passenger and commercial vehicles. The three-day symposium will focus on the changes and technologies that will impact the future of emissions and fuel economy.
The premier sponsor of the event is Afton Chemical.
Sessions being held at the symposium will include discussions on:
- Bio-fuels: Environmental implications, legislation, and engines and systems
- Emissions Controls: Industry trends, catalysts and packaging, and light and heavy duty exhaust systems
- Lubricants: Research, motor oils and additives, transmission fluids, and whole vehicle lubricant efficiency
Leading experts in these fields have said that the maturity of bio-fuels technology, the refinement of after treatment, and the evolution of lubricants and lubricating fluids are critical tools in achieving regulatory objectives.
