SAE International announced today the inaugural Thermal Management Systems Digital Summi t, will take place online on November 17-18, 2020. Leading experts in thermal management and environmental regulatory requirements will collaborate and present on the latest regulatory impacts and applications to reduce engine emissions, conserve energy, improve the cabin environment and increase overall vehicle performance in commercial, heavy-duty and off-road vehicles.

“In a rapidly changing regulations landscape, it is critical for thermal management systems professionals to convene, and we’re excited to present a virtual platform for this information to be shared,” said Frank Bokulich, manager of engineering events at SAE International. “As large industry gatherings are still on hold, this digital summit will provide a forum for decision makers to ensure regulatory compliances are continuing as they look to advance technologies in the thermal management industry.”

For two days, engineers, executives, OEMs and academia attendees will have the opportunity to network and hear from leading subject matter experts from the United States Environmental Protection Agency, California Air Resources Board, Europe and Asia, who will discuss real-world thermal management and climate control challenges and solutions on a global scale.

The digital summit provides an application focused program dedicated to addressing the latest regulatory impacts and applications for:

  • Technological advances required to achieve fuel economy and emissions mandates
  • Vehicle electrification and rapid expansion of sustainable mobility applications
  • Increasing focus on fuel economy and emissions reduction
  • Paradigm shifts in climate control systems and impact on vehicle thermal management
  • Delivering thermal comfort and occupant safety with low energy consumption
  • Vehicle system design interactions
