Advancements in configurable long-lived tokens give user communities the power to stipulate secure login preferences.
PLANO, Texas, March 30, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SafetyStratus, a user-friendly SaaS platform for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) management, today announced the most recent development to its inspections and observations solution. The addition of long-lived tokens helps inspection teams control security and keep better track of the progress of data synchronization, minimizing login risks. This key verifies the user's identity and authorizes access on their device to the native mobile application, allowing them to retain access to the SafetyStratus Inspections module until the token expires. The life cycle of the long-lived token will be configurable to meet the user community's individual authentication needs.

Complementing the expanded authentication capability, two new administrator settings have also been developed as mechanisms to warn users of upcoming login expiration and prompt periodic data synchronization. If the application is in use when the token is set to expire, the regeneration will be seamlessly performed, and users will be able to continue operations on mobile devices without interruption. If the token expires while the device is offline, an alert is automatically displayed to the user when opening or returning to the home screen, to inform them of the need to sync field-collected inspection data and ensure progress is correctly saved.
