Saint Francis Healthcare will present "The Saint John's Bible: From Inspiration to Illumination" on Wednesday, October 24, at the Chase Center on the Riverfront. The Saint John's Bible is the first handwritten, illuminated Bible in more than 500 years.
WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Saint Francis Healthcare will present "The Saint John's Bible: From Inspiration to Illumination" on Wednesday, October 24, at the Chase Center on the Riverfront. The Saint John's Bible is the first handwritten, illuminated Bible in more than 500 years.
The evening will begin with light refreshments at 5 p.m., followed by a lecture at 6 p.m. from Tim Ternes, director of the Saint John's Bible at the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library in Collegeville, Minnesota. The event will serve as the highlight of a month in which Saint Francis Healthcare hosts a copy of the prestigious Bible.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the beauty and splendor of the Heritage Edition of the Saint John's Bible as Ternes shares the story behind this once-in-a-millennium undertaking and showcases some of the many artworks in this world-renowned project. Its lettering and stunning artwork present the Word of God in an engaging and inspirational way.
