AFG Group, Inc. (AFG) is pleased to announce that Sally Clark, Director of Marketing, has been elected President of the Society of American Military (SAME) Mid-Maryland Post.
An active member in the Mid-Maryland SAME Post since its inception, Clark most recently served as the Second Vice President. She has also held positions on the Board of Directors as the Communications Director, the Recognitions Director, and was a member of the Scholarship/STEM Committee. Clark currently serves on the SAME Small Business Council as the Conferences, Chair-Elect developing programming for the annual Small Business Conference and Joint Engineer Training Conference. Since rebranding the Fort Detrick Post as the Mid-Maryland Post in 2015, the Post has broadened its focus to include Federal, State, and Local opportunities throughout Maryland and grown its membership by 32% to become a mid-size post with over 20 sustaining member firms.
Clark is a marketing and business development professional with 15 years of experience in the federal, defense, and financial market sectors, providing strategic marketing, program development, and events planning services. As the Director of Marketing with AFG, she oversees and coordinates corporate and regional marketing, proposals, and communications efforts as part of AFG’s broader initiative to expand geographically their existing Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest construction management market into a nationwide presence. Clark is also an active member of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) and the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).
Clark is a 2017 graduate of the SAME Washington DC & Northern Virginia Post’s Leadership and Mentoring Program, and the recipient of the SAME Mid-Maryland Post’s 2018 Award for Outstanding Contributions to Marketing and Communications.
