Sam’s Sports Bar & Grill Gears Up for Grand Opening of Renovated Patio
Altoona, IA (PRWEB) April 29, 2016 -- Sam’s Sports Bar & Grill, widely considered Altoona’s best sports bar, is removing its existing patio and replacing it with a larger patio, which will now include a fire pit. “The new patio is designed for the comfort of our patrons who will now be able to relax in front of a warm fire pit,” said Michael Garner, owner of Sam’s Sports Bar & Grill. “We hope to be completely finished by the first week of May.”
The original seating capacity of the patio was approximately twenty. With the new patio, Garner anticipates adding additional tables plus the seating around the fire pit, which can potentially accommodate fifty patrons.
“The patio will be open year-round,” said Garner. “When complete, we believe that we will have the nicest, most attractive patio in Altoona for a sports bar.”
The new patio will also feature a tranquil area for planting native ornamental grasses and flowers. It will also be wired so they can play music and be softly illuminated during the evening with Mission-style lighting that will be attached to the stone columns surrounding the patio.
