San Antonio Alcohol Drug Rehab Launches Expanded Detoxification Program
SAN ANTONIO, TX (PRWEB) April 17, 2014 -- San Antonio Alcohol Drug Rehab is launching an expanded detoxification program for individuals dealing with drug addiction problems in San Antonio.
The detoxification process helps people get any traces of substances like marijuana, heroin, Xanax, Darvocet, or prescription drugs out of their system. An individual enters the detox area of the facility and undergoes some preliminary measures. These include having a technician take down pertinent information, such as contact person, telephone number and address, get some basic medical data, and have the individual take a urine test.
This information is then passed along to a veteran member of the medical staff at the San Antonio facility. He or she will sit down, review the paperwork and discuss a drug detoxification plan that has worked for many people. The expanded program offers additional beds and space for more individuals to get the drugs out of their systems.
A person entering detoxification is told that the process can take between 2-3 days to 5-6 days depending on their condition. Symptoms common with detoxification include anxiety, nervousness, hallucinations, sleeplessness, restlessness, irritability, nausea, night sweats and others.
Once a person has moved through the detox process, then he or she will be led into a residential treatment portion of the center. It is highly recommended that detox is fully finished and not interrupted by leaving the facility ahead of its completion.
