Sappington promotes Erik Wirsing to lead creative ventures

Sappington, a leading technology marketing firm with headquarters in Seattle, WA, has promoted Erik Wirsing to Chief Creative Officer. In his new role, Wirsing will be the “creative spark” of the firm, pushing boundaries and upholding the highest levels of creativity, quality, and craftsmanship. He will represent Sappington as the creative leader during strategic and other client interactions, and lead the firm’s content strategists, writers, and designers.

He will represent Sappington as the creative leader during strategic and other client interactions, and lead the firm’s content strategists, writers, and designers.

Wirsing is on Sappington’s Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer and founder Tim Goggin. He has been Chief Content Officer since 2014.

As Sappington’s creative leader, Wirsing owns the creative vision and direction for the firm. This includes fostering a culture of creativity through interactions of content and design and providing end-to-end oversight on how creative quality and execution occurs across all projects. He will also curate the firm’s ideas, stories, and designs.

A native of Nashville, TN, Wirsing holds a B.A. in English Literature from University of Tennessee-Knoxville and an M.A. in History from University of York, UK. He has worked in key marketing roles for leading global companies, including EMI Music and Microsoft. He is co-founder of the Pacific Northwest Digital Business Roundtable.
