Sponsors Participate in SASS Event in Boston
Boston, MA (PRWEB) April 29, 2014 -- Sponsors from various backgrounds showed support for The Brown Group Worldwide's Sexual Abuse Survivors Series created by Grace Ejiwale. Ejiwale sought out different sponsors to lend aid and help to unburden the demands of the event. SASS is a multi-series event that assists survivors of sexual abuse with information, healing, and prevention methods. The sponsors who are included: Chris Mok of Vee Vee Restaurant, GNC, ABCD Health Services, the Hispanic Black Gay Coalition, City Girl Cafe, Cocobeet, Arianna Skin Care, David's Tea and the Nigerian American Community Organization, provided food, drinks, beauty products, and informational brochures for the attendees of the event.
“I donated to the Sexual Abuse Survivors Series because I believe that victims of sexual abuse need a space to feel safe in sharing what they have been through. Giving them healthy food nourishes the body, mind, and soul,” Chris Mok said. Mok, who provided food for the event is a professional chef currently working for Vee Vee Restaurant in the Jamaica Plain area of Boston, MA. Previously she has worked at Ten Tables Cambridge, Aquitaine, Beacon Hill Bistro, Five Horses Tavern (Davis Square), and City Girl Cafe.
The Sexual Abuse Survivors Series aims to provide healing methods for survivors and share their stories with a panel of professionals and experts. The first of the series featured singers, poets, and speakers who provided specific pieces that assisted with the healing processes created by the organizers.
