The "I AM MEXICO" sneaker collection represents Champion Boxer Canelo's Mexican heritage and athleisure lifestyle.

This collection is an expression of pride and unity

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, multiple world champion boxer from Mexico, and Fabrice Tardieu, renowned fashion designer from Haiti, join forces in a high-profile collaboration to design the 2018 "I AM MEXICO" sneaker collection. The collaboration is a symbol of Canelo's strong Mexican heritage and Fabrice Tardieu's laid-back luxury lifestyle.

A blend of athleisure wear and high-end designer craftsmanship bring a unique look to the fashion world. And during times of much political divide on issues such as race and immigration, the two men wanted to create a symbol of pride and unity.

The fighter's shoe series was initially launching on his Cinco de Mayo fight, which has been re-scheduled to September 15th, a day before Mexico's Independence Day.

The designer collection includes three styles for men and women at retail prices ranging from $325-$475 USD. All shoes are handmade in Italy, and produced with embossed genuine Italian leather and python-inspired patterned print.

Shoes can be purchased online at Fabrice Tardieu:
