Savannah Quarters, the master-planned community and private club located 12 miles from downtown Savannah, has won four awards at the 2020 Best of the Best Awards in the Coastal Empire by the Savannah Morning News. The "Best of the Best" awards are an annual competition in which residents of the Coastal Empire can vote on local companies and organizations as the best in the Greater Savannah Area.
SAVANNAH, Ga., Oct. 21, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Savannah Quarters, the master-planned community and private club located 12 miles from downtown Savannah, has won four awards at the 2020 Best of the Best Awards in the Coastal Empire by the Savannah Morning News. The "Best of the Best" awards are an annual competition in which residents of the Coastal Empire can vote on local companies and organizations as the best in the Greater Savannah Area.
Savannah Quarters won Best Golf Course for their 18-hole Greg Norman Signature course located at The Club at Savannah Quarters. They also won the Best Pet-Friendly Community award, the same year the community opened a new dog park in its Easthaven section, which has "large dog" and "small dog" park areas, as well as water fountains and more.

The other two awards focused on staff members of the community. Tracy Quarterman, sales executive for Savannah Quarters Realty, won the Best Real Estate Agent award. Finally, The Club at Savannah Quarters' Executive Chef Jay Cantrell won the Best Chef award.

Chef Jay Cantrell won the prestigious "Best Chef" award while competing against some area veteran chefs who cook in some of Savannah's top restaurants. Competitors' cooking styles ranged from Classic French all the way to modern Artisan Pizza. Cantrell has honed a specialty of cooking Southern favorites with a gourmet twist, often generating praise for The Chef at Savannah Quarters' cuisine amongst critics and patrons.
2020 was the latest in a long line of winning years for the community. In 2019, Savannah Quarters won the Best Community Award and the Best Golf Course Awards and were winners in various other categories several years prior.
