Sawaya Consulting has acquired Emerson Stone, merged with Coast To Coast Studio, and created a new company called Anchor & Alpine. This new product-focused design studio will carry on the work of the original firms in strategy, branding, product design, and UX.
SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sawaya Consulting, a Utah-based design and technology firm, is pleased to announce the successful merger and acquisition of two design firms: Boulder-based Emerson Stone and Salt Lake City-based Coast To Coast Studio. After more than twelve years in business, Sawaya Consulting is expanding their offerings and changing their name to Anchor & Alpine: A full-service design and technology agency. Sawaya Consulting partner Amber Sawaya recently returned to Salt Lake City after an 18-month stint as EVP of UX and Product at a machine learning startup in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Over the last five years, Emerson Stone has worked on branding, design and development projects for a variety of clients from startups to enterprise including IBM, Otterbox, and 3M. The merger with another well-connected Utah design firm will help expand the capacity of the team.
