Scaled Agile Announces Chris James as CEO
With Chris at the helm, Scaled Agile is poised for even greater success focused on enabling business agility for the world’s largest businesses and government agencies.

Scaled Agile, Inc., provider of SAFe®, announced that Chris James has been named CEO effective immediately.
“Chris shares my deep passion and commitment to our mission,” said Dean Leffingwell, Scaled Agile’s chief methodologist and chairman of the board. “As president and chief operating officer, he successfully transitioned Scaled Agile from a startup to an international enterprise with customer operations in the US, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. With Chris at the helm, Scaled Agile is poised for even greater success focused on enabling business agility for the world’s largest businesses and government agencies, better allowing me to focus on building the next generation of SAFe.”

Since joining the company in 2015 as president and chief operating officer, James has guided day-to-day management of Scaled Agile, building consistency, efficiency, and ensuring company-wide alignment with a strong commitment to customer success through the adoption of SAFe practices and principles. Previous roles included executive positions at Oracle University and Sun Microsystems, and most recent, vice president of customer success for Rally Software.
