School Bus Logistics, LLC, the leader in logistics consulting and support to school districts across North America, and Prismatic Services, Inc. have joined together to manage transportation services for the Orange County Department of Health/Intervention Services. Established in 2010, School Bus Logistics (SBL) has helped school districts optimize routing to aid in budgetary efficiencies and the safe transportation of school children.
The project was scoped by Orange County as management of transportation services for their Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education Programs. It includes the management of two bus contractors and contracts, onsite operations, and the assurance of safe transportation of students on their daily ride to and from school. School Bus Logistics will also provide updated technology to the county and requestors through their cloud-based portal, RouteHub.
The two companies’ first joint venture was on a 2020 project for Boulder Valley School District in Boulder, Colorado. The successful project brought awareness to the benefit of combining the strengths of the two companies. “We are offering the department the best combination of national school transportation management and consulting expertise in the US,” said Tatia Prieto, Ed.D, president of Prismatic Services, “These are the key capabilities of our combined team.”
Together, the team plans to work with bus companies to implement new routes and route changes; to provide compliance and monitoring as well as field inspections at program sites; to be the point of contact for the entire transportation program for parents and schools; and to handle program analysis and revisions in order to identify and implement cost saving opportunities. Not only will these create efficiencies for the county, but also peace of mind for families in the community.
