As the trend toward handle-free kitchen cabinetry grows, Schwinn Hardware introduces a sleek Handle-Free Hardware system with notable innovations. Architects, interior designers and homeowners are increasingly interested in this aesthetic which leaves cabinet doors and drawer fronts free of decorative hardware, allowing the focus to fall on materials and surface treatments.

Schwinn Handle-Free Cabinet Hardware centers on aluminum extrusions in L- and C-channels which are mounted within the cabinet section, just behind the door or drawer front. The fronts are reduced in height to reveal the clean, linear channels behind them. This let’s the fingers reach around and grip the edge of the door instead of a face-mounted handle. Parallel horizontal (or vertical) channels running the length of the cabinets create a striking architectural feel in a kitchen.

Schwinn’s channels feature very tight corner radiuses which give the edges a crisp, modern look. Their new warm satin anodized finish is highly durable and designed to complement modern surfaces. Schwinn’s designers have also innovated a clever mounting system based on a twist-lock bracket which can slide and lock into place, eliminating the need to screw the bracket to the back of the channel. This also gives great flexibility in positioning the brackets to meet any installation scenario.

Schwinn Hardware will unveil their Handle-Free Cabinet Hardware to the US market at the upcoming KBIS expo January 19-21, 2016 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
