Scottsdale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Receives Top-Tier Recognition by US News and World Report and Medicare
Scottsdale, Arizona (PRWEB) December 23, 2013 -- More than 3 million Americans spent at least part of 2013 in a skilled nursing facility, or nursing home, and a similar number is expected for 2014. Many times, these individuals and their families encounter difficulty in choosing the right nursing home. Frequently asked questions such as, "Where will I receive the highest quality care?" "Where will I be treated like a resident, not just a patient?" and "Where is the cleanest nursing home with the best food?" weigh heavily on their minds.
To try to make this important choice easier, U.S. News and World Report recently released its fifth annual "Best Nursing Homes" report. Using data from the federal agency that sets and enforces standards for nursing homes, U.S. News awarded the "Best Nursing Home" designation to homes that recently earned an overall rating of five stars, highlighting the top nursing homes in each state and nearly 100 major metropolitan areas. The ratings cover more than 15,000 nursing homes nationwide and are freely available at http://www.usnews.com/best-nursing-homes. Medicare likewise rated each nursing home with one to five stars based on separate measures of quality of care, health-inspections record, and level of nurse staffing.
At the top of the list is Scottsdale Nursing, a facility serviced by North American Health Care. All 35 facilities serviced by North American Health Care have been given five-star ratings by Medicare. Statistically, less than 20% of all skilled nursing facilities in the United States achieve this level of success. No other similar organization in the United States has consistently achieved this level of patient care.
Residents, physicians, and families are highly complimentary of Scottsdale Nursing. “I am always impressed with the cleanliness of your facility, the excellent nursing care, and great rehab services you offer my patients,” said a local physician. A recent family member stated, “Our very special thanks for the wonderful care that was given to our loved one.” And another: “No words can express my gratitude and sincere appreciation for every single day my mom was in your care. I saw firsthand (on a daily basis) what an outstanding facility you have.” One resident summed it up: “Thank you to all of the wonderful people who treated me like a queen.”
"Caring is our main concern," said Jayson Hunt, Administrator of Scottsdale Nursing. "That's why our residents are so satisfied with every facet of life, from the therapy to the activities to the living space. We are grateful to be recognized for our outstanding patient care.” For more information about Scottsdale Nursing or North American Health Care, please visit http://www.nahci.com, or contact Amy Osmond Cook at 949.813.0182 or acook(at)nahci(dot)com.
