Scribe adds VP for Revenue Cycle Management
Naples, Florida (PRWEB) September 29, 2016 -- Mark Boyce, Scribe President & CEO announces the addition of Al Knowles as Vice President of Coding, Revenue Cycle (RCM) and Practice Management.
Al Knowles joins Scribe with a 27-year long career in the healthcare industry. After leaving the U.S. Marine Corps with experience in computer programming, he started working in the healthcare sales/technology field and developed skills in all areas of the industry, including leading and founding several companies. He has managed EHR discrete data migration projects exceeding $10 million. Knowles developed expertise in Revenue Cycle Management and has applied this knowledge to create a custom workflow methodology that improved the production of migrating discrete PHI from legacy EHRs to newly installed EHRs by more than 500%. He was drawn to Scribe because of our unique insight regarding the need for improving practice management through optimized workflows, maximized revenues per encounter, and the boldness to be different in creating non-traditional ways to achieve overall maximum efficiency in all areas of operations that have lead to higher physician and practice productivity and profits for providers.
Boyce remarks that “While it was Al’s experience in coding that first caught Scribe’s attention, it became clear after several conversations that there was opportunity for Al to lead us to practice management capabilities. Al’s overall background in the industry and his philosophy about truly becoming “partners in practice” fit Scribe’s mission of giving providers the freedom to focus on what matters most - patient care.”
“I’m joining the team at a time when health care needs a company like Scribe to transform the industry. It was clear to me that Scribe is significantly more advanced than any other company and is well placed to revolutionize and disrupt an industry that has become technologically stagnant. What I was most impressed with at Scribe was not only achieving these remarkable abilities but also to get the job done through an accomplished leadership team with complementary skills without the “corporate” ideology and their commitment to using and creating the cutting edge technologies necessary” said Knowles. “We are giving providers the tools and integrated solutions that gets it done right the first time and frees them from continuing to constantly stay on top of the ever changing regulations and guidelines to allow them to do what is most important, provide great patient care!”
Knowles will be growing a team of professionals to expand Scribe’s services in Coding, Billing, RCM and Practice Management along with consulting services that include financial analysis, documentation workshops, pre-audit preparation with certified Recovery Audit Contractor auditors, fee schedule analysis, and workflow process analysis with written reports of recommendations for improvement.
