Sea Turtle Rescue mobile game helps rescue sea turtles

OTTAWA, Ontario, Oct. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Playing a game on a mobile device doesn't often have benefits in the real world. Playing the Sea Turtle Rescue game, however, actually helps rescue sea turtles. The Ottawa-based game development company Simberon Inc. is donating 10% of all profits from the mobile game to the Canadian Sea Turtle Network – a charitable organization from Nova Scotia which helps conserve endangered sea turtles in Canadian waters and world-wide.

The Sea Turtle Rescue puzzle game challenges players to connect hexagonal tiles into sequences. Once a sequence is complete, any eggs on that sequence will hatch and the baby sea turtles run down the path until they're dropped onto the beach and washed into the ocean.

As the puzzles become more challenging, players can use an assortment of tools to help rescue the baby turtles. Hammers can nail tiles to prevent them from moving. Bombs can explode tiles. Magnets can stick tiles together.
Although players can collect tools along the way, they can also collect coins that they can exchange for tools. They can use coins to see the solution for a level or to skip a level. If they run out of coins, they can purchase them from the shop or watch a rewarded advertisement to collect more. Every time they see an ad or make purchases from the shop, a portion of the proceeds goes to the Canadian Sea Turtle Network.
