New board leadership and a renewed focus on helping small GovCons compete, connect, and grow
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- As government contractors navigate a rapidly changing federal marketplace, the Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) is entering its 25th year with new board leadership and a renewed focus on helping small GovCons compete, connect, and grow as the federal market evolves.
Effective September 1, SECAF's 2026-2027 officers are:

- Treasurer: Brigitta Scott, Cherry Bekaert, Partner
- Secretary: Veronica Vannoy, Trout CPA, Director of Marketing & Communications

The new officers take the helm at a pivotal moment for both SECAF and the government contracting community. Changes in federal acquisition, increased competition, emerging technologies and evolving paths to growth are requiring small contractors to make faster, more informed decisions about where and how they compete.
At the same time, SECAF is marking 25 years of bringing together government contractors and the professionals who support them across the Greater Washington region.
