SecureCircle Introduces Send Secure for Agentless Protected Data Sharing
SecureCircle introduces agentless secure collaboration via Send Secure. Send Secure expands how organizations protect data that is shared outside the organization while ensuring visibility, security, and control.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SecureCircle (securecircle.com), the world's first opt-out data-centric data protection, today announced the availability of SecureCircle version 2.5 that introduces agentless secure collaboration via Send Secure. Send Secure expands how organizations protect data that is shared outside the organization while ensuring visibility, security, and control.
Send Secure is ideal for organizations that need to share protected content with customers and partners who are unable to install the SecureCircle agent. SecureCircle is a transparent first line of defense protecting organizations from insider threat (accidental and malicious), lost/stolen devices, ransomware (releasing private data to the public), and shadow IT.
"SecureCircle focuses on the protecting organizations' internal data from leaving the organization – the first line of defense," said Jeff Capone, SecureCircle co-founder, and CEO. "Send Secure provides a second line of defense and enables organizations to share protected content outside of the organization without having external parties install an agent."
SecureCircle Send Secure enables:
- Organizations such as tax accountants, law firms, financial companies, manufacturers, designers, and much more to share protected data with users without the SecureCircle agent installed.
- Authorized users can send protected data via an Outlook plugin for Microsoft Windows as an attachment.
- Recipients receive an email with the secure attachment and instructions to navigate to a browser-based portal to remove protection from the attachment.
- Administrators manage the sharing policy settings such as time-to-live (TTL) and the number of accesses.
Other features of this version included: granular Derivative Work Protection including the ability to enable or disable derivative protection on a per-Circle basis, First-class support for Linux kernel v3.10 in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7, and performance improvements. New features are effective immediately and enhance SecureCircle's position as the leader in data-centric data protection.
