The ISO 27001 certification has been verified by CIRQ and accredited by ANAB (ANSI National Accreditation Board). Accredited certification to ISO 27001 involves undertaking regular reviews and internal audits to ensure the continual improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
To achieve certification, SCI partnered with Security7 Network's Security Advisory Services (SAS) practice. Together they worked to establish the formality and completeness of SCI's ISMS, a framework of policies, documentation, and controls that manage information security and risks systematically across the entire enterprise.
ISO 27001 is one of the most widely recognized and internationally accepted information security standards in the world, specifying the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an ISMS within the context of the organization.
The scope of SCI's certification covers the management of information security for the processes necessary to deliver Open VMS managed services, CHARON emulation support, Database Administration Managed Services, and Consulting Services to its clients.
To achieve ISO 27001 certification, SCI engaged in an in-depth risk assessment, a comprehensive review of all information security policies, procedures, and controls. As a further step in the validation, the company's ISMS was assessed via a review of its documentation, practices, and controls by a certified third-party auditor.
