SeKON Appoints Terry Yarbrough to Director of Health Programs

(PRWEB) August 01, 2016 -- SeKON, a women-owned small business provider of technology and management consulting solutions, today announced Mr. Terry Yarbrough was appointed Director of Health Programs. He will oversee the company’s multi-million dollar portfolio of federal health customers, including the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) programs.
Yarbrough has more than 30 years of experience, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and, notably is also a certified Project Management Institute-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP). He is also currently working toward his Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.

Currently, Terry sits at the intersection of some of the most pressing issues of EHR and data interoperability, as well as transformation and change management. He’s currently leading the company’s program working with DHA’s Program Executive Office (PEO) for Defense Healthcare Management Systems (DHMS) on its EHR modernization effort. At CMS, he is directly supporting the director of the Office of Technology Solutions. Here, Yarbrough is leading a team to re-brand and deploy the agency’s central technology office services, simultaneously overseeing an agency-wide IT workforce development initiative.
Before joining SeKON, Yarbrough held program and acquisition management roles at Technatomy, GS5 LLC and Booz Allen Hamilton. Prior to his civilian career, he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for more than two decades, promoting his skills as an enthusiastic and effective leader. He earned his M.S. in technology management from Georgetown University, an M.P.A in healthcare administration from Troy University and is currently pursuing an M.B.A. J.D. at George Washington University.
