BOXI by Semihandmade upends the uninspired U.S. cabinet industry with a heavily-branded, partnership-driven line that streamlines selection, shortens lead times and removes store visits, pricey middlemen, and clunky design (via AI-3D technology). All from the comfort of your sofa.
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) April 21, 2021
Semihandmade, the leading home remodeling brand known for pairing stylish doors with IKEA cabinets, has announced the launch of BOXI by Semihandmade, the first American-built, direct-to-consumer cabinet system for the entire home.
In a world of mattress, eyeglass, and toothbrush brands seemingly everywhere we look online, BOXI asked, “Why isn’t the same true of cabinets?”
Now it is.
Since starting the company in 2011, CEO and Founder John McDonald has grown Semihandmade from a one-man shop into a known and trusted multi-million dollar industry disruptor that has seen double-digit growth every year. Collaborations with top designers such as Sarah Sherman Samuel and legacy brands Caesarstone, Café Appliances, Fireclay Tile and Rejuvenation also set the brand apart.
“If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that how we shop — and live — will never be the same. With BOXI by Semihandmade, we’re combining the learnings of 20,000+ kitchens and bathrooms with the wants and needs of a new kind of consumer,” said McDonald. “Remodeling is already hard enough. Shoppers today want a quality product that’s simple to purchase, reasonably priced, and arrives quickly to their doorstep. We think BOXI by Semihandmade is exactly what they’re looking for.”
BOXI by Semihandmade worked with Enlisted Design, notable for their collaborations with Allbirds and Stance, to create the brand architecture with a modern, user-friendly approach and a next-level, direct-to-consumer aesthetic.
“At a time when the term ‘DTC' seems to be disappearing as more brands are taking on an omnichannel approach, BOXI is embracing it because, quite simply, there has never been a direct-to-consumer cabinet brand before,” added McDonald.
Beginning April 21, BOXI will be available in six cities — New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Minneapolis, Austin and Chicago — with design spaces opening in those markets and additional cities throughout the summer and fall.
