Sensys Networks Announces FlexConnect
(PRWEB) August 24, 2015 -- Sensys Networks, Inc., the world’s leading provider of integrated wireless traffic data systems for Smart Cities, announces FlexConnect, a new Synchronous Data Link Control Interface (SDLC) module for TS2 controllers.
FlexConnect is a stand-alone unit that provides an SDLC interface to TS2 traffic signal controllers for the Sensys Networks Wireless Vehicle Detection System (VDS). Traffic detection events are signaled from VDS to the TS2 controller in conformance with the NEMA TS2-2003 specification. The unit supports 64 channels arranged as four racks of 16 channels each. Each channel status can be displayed on the LED screen on the front panel. FlexConnect has a compact design (4.5” x 3.7” x 1.5”) and can be mounted anywhere in a traffic signal cabinet. It eliminates the need for interface cards and does not require available slots in traffic signal cabinets.
FlexConnect includes a mode that monitors the signal phase data. The signal phase data is fused with the vehicle detection data to generate 24x7 intersection performance measures in the recently released Sensys Networks SensMetrics application.
“FlexConnect meets the immediate demand from our customers and partners for an integrated signal interface,” says Floyd Williams, VP Marketing of Sensys Networks, “while also enabling us to extend the benefits of our SensMetrics advanced performance measures platform to all TS2 controllers.” SensMetrics provides the analysis and visualizations Agencies need to optimize signal timing, reduce arterial congestion, and improve intersection safety.
FlexConnect is available for demonstration at the Sensys Networks booth #112 at the 120th Annual IMSA Conference in New Orleans August 22-25, 2015.
