Marne, Michigan (PRWEB) November 08, 2016 -- Serenity Point Rehabilitation participated, supported, and sponsored MADD Walk 2016. MAAD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) is a nonprofit organization that works hard to raise awareness on the gruesome truth of drunk driving casualties and fatalities. Accidents, injuries, deaths, collateral damage, and risk factors brought on by drink driving are absolutely abhorrent, and Serenity Point Rehabilitation, a drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation center based out of Marne, Michigan, took a stand with MADD this year. Serenity Point Rehabilitation helped out in a big way. Not only did they help sponsor the MADD’s nonprofit efforts and events, but Serenity Point Rehabilitation sent a group of staff members and clients alike to help set up and run the event, and to participate in the event as well.
Every year, MADD hosts a “Walk Against Drunk Driving” event in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This walk is done annually to raise awareness on drunk driving. Participants include avid supporters of the campaign, recovered drug and alcohol addicts, addicts currently in recovery at Serenity Point Rehabilitation’s facility in Marne, and families who have suffered from drunk driving. Families who have even lost a loved one to a drunk driver come out and show their support for the nonprofit, and the entire event is broadcasted on local television news stations.
MADD & Serenity Point Speak out Against Drunk Driving
The Mothers Against Drunk Driving is a dedicated organization with the commitment to bring drunk driving statistics down to an absolute zero. Coincidentally, Serenity Point Rehabilitation also feels very strongly about this issue. Serenity Point Rehabilitation is not just an ordinary rehabilitation center that keeps to itself and focuses solely on rehabilitating their clients. Serenity Point Rehabilitation is also a very involved and active organization. This rehab center contributes and involves itself and its clients in local community events. Serenity Point Rehabilitation feels that getting their clients to help out and make positive changes in the community and getting them to contribute and be active members of the local area is all a part of the rehabilitation process.
MADD will continue to do its walk every year until drunk driving is a thing of the past. Serenity Point Rehabilitation will continue to help them and support them. The executive staff of Serenity Point Rehabilitation feel that their mission and their responsibility as a rehab center isn’t just to rehabilitate addicts, but also to work on prevention of further addiction. Programs like MADD are working hard to prevent drunk driving and to make our roads a safer place, and Serenity Point Rehabilitation is more than willing and in fact thrilled to step up to the plate and help make a difference inside and outside the doors of their recovery center.
