Series Aims to Turn Kids Into "Outsiders"
"The Outsiders Club" is all about getting kids outdoors - adventuring, exploring, and learning. This exciting kids' series is aimed at teaching kids the importance making healthy decisions both for us and for our environment.
LAKE MARY, Fla., May 24, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This summer, the producers of Emmy® award-winning "The Outsiders Club" tv series will launch season 4, which aims to encourage today's kids to become "outsiders". The season premiere is set for June 1, and will air through August on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and CW affiliate stations throughout Florida.
Series creator, Chad Crawford, says, "Studies show that today's children spend less time than ever outside, which has lead to a wide range of health problems. There are so many things keeping our kids inside today; this series is all about showing kids and families the value of getting outside."
"The Outsiders Club", hosted by four outdoor-loving kids, takes viewers on a variety of adventures in 10 original episodes. The hosts experience everything from horseback riding on the beach in Amelia Island State Park, to panfishing and wildlife tracking in Lake Griffin State Park, to bike camping along the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway, just to name a few!
The hosts also show viewers creative ways to engage with nature, as well as ways to help protect our environment so generations to come will be able to enjoy Florida's natural resources. Plus, you'll get plenty of fun nutrition tips and tricks!
This season, which is sponsored by Florida State Parks, Florida Orange Juice, Dairy Council of Florida, and The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, is full of exciting adventures, challenging activities, and fascinating lessons that teach kids to love - and connect with - the outdoors.
"'The Outsiders Club' shares how parks can help families stay healthy, learn and have fun," Florida State Parks Director Eric Draper said. "We're happy that kids have this great way to discover outdoor recreation and Florida's natural and cultural resources."
