COLUMBIA, Md., March 12, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Thorn Technologies, a leading cloud computing product and service provider, announced that their cloud file transfer product, SFTP Gateway, is now live on AWS US GovCloud. SFTP Gateway allows enterprises of all sizes, and now government agencies, to easily and securely transfer files to Amazon S3. The product is available on the AWS Marketplace.

SFTP Gateway is a secure-by-default, pre-configured SFTP server that saves uploaded files to an Amazon S3 bucket. Data is encrypted in transit (via SFTP, OpenSSH, HTTPS, and TLS 1.2) and at rest (via SSE-S3, SSE-KMS, or SSE-C). SFTP users are configured with SSH public key authentication by default. And logs are centralized in CloudWatch to help with auditing.
SFTP Gateway can be deployed as a single server or as a highly-available infrastructure to accommodate thousands of users. To achieve this, the product uses an Autoscaling Group, Network Load Balancer, and Elastic File System via a CloudFormation template.
SFTP Gateway includes a web portal to allow for easy user creation and management. SFTP users can be created and SSH keys, encryption options, and S3 upload locations can all be managed. SFTP Gateway provides RESTful and command line interfaces for easier scripting for integration into existing user provisioning systems.
