The “Rock This Country Tour” will be the 49-year-old Canadian’s first in 11 years and as she said it herself, is the after-party after performing a residency in Las Vegas for the past several years. The singer and songwriter has been in the music business since 1993 and is one of the most respected acts in the business with five Grammy Awards and more than 75 million records sold worldwide.
In the history of country music, she is the all-time best-selling female artist and has already been inducted in the Canadian Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She is also the only female artist to ever have three straight albums earn Diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America for selling more than 10 million units. She achieved this with The Woman in Me, Come on Over, and Up!, which were released in 1995, 1997, and 2002, respectively. On Woman, fans fell in love with her sound and lyrics and helped six of her eight released singles reach the top of the Canadian country charts and four reach the top of the American country charts.
When Twain takes the stage during her farewell tour, her longtime fans will hope to hear the material from her earlier albums including chart-topping singles “Any Man of Mine,” “(If You're Not in It for Love) I'm Outta Here!,” “You’re Still the One,” “From This Moment On,” “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!,” and “I'm Gonna Getcha Good!.” Her newer fans that may have just discovered her while she was playing in Las Vegas will also want to hear the country superstar perform some lesser-known tracks including “Shoes,” “Today is Your Day,” “Party for Two” and “Endless Love.”
As Twain says goodbye to the country-loving fans that have supported her career for more than two decades, she will do so by putting on close to 50 shows. Fans in some lucky cities will be able to catch her for two shows including those in Vancouver at the Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena; Toronto, Ontario, at the Air Canada Centre; and London, Ontario, at the Budweiser Gardens. She will also make stops at popular venues like the TD Garden in Boston, MA; Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.; Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN; American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX; and the world famous Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.
