WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass., May 11, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Shawmut LLC and Zhejiang Dejun New Material Co., Ltd. announced an agreement to form an exclusive equity joint venture to produce Shawmut's market-leading automotive interior fabrics in China.
The JV is a continuing step in the 10-year long-term strategic relationship between Shawmut's Asia operations and Dejun. The agreement marks Shawmut's commitment to continue to grow its supply chain investment in Asia to serve global automotive OEM production. The JV gives Shawmut's Asia operations ownership and vertical control of production from yarn warping through knitting, dyeing, finishing and lamination.
