Shawn Wills Joins Women's Business Council - Southwest in New Vice President Role
The Women's Business Council - Southwest (WBCS) is proud to announce and welcome the hire of Shawn Wills in the newly created Vice President, Operations & Strategy role. Wills will be responsible for driving the overall strategy for the organization, as well as representing the Council on a local, regional, and national basis.
IRVING, Texas, July 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Women's Business Council – Southwest (WBCS) is proud to announce and welcome the hire of Shawn Wills in the newly created Vice President, Operations & Strategy role. Wills will be responsible for driving the overall strategy for the organization, as well as representing the Council on a local, regional, and national basis.

Having started in April, Wills brings a wealth of knowledge on fundraising and community involvement having over 15 years of experience in the non-profit world. She will work closely with Hurst and the marketing and program departments to further serve the over 1,100 women business owners in the network and around 80 corporate members who reported more than $10.3 billion with women-owned businesses in 2018.
"My goals are to build on the success of the Council's last 24 years by increasing the number of women business owners and corporate partners in our market, broaden our exposure, and to create more opportunities for community engagement. I want to be an advocate for women business owners, and I want to help fuel our economy's growth by helping to identify and develop more women business owners. Everyone at WBCS is an expert in their field, so I look forward to learning from everyone, and to contributing to the success of the Council," said Wills.
Prior to joining WBCS, Wills was the Senior Vice President of Development at the Texas Women's Foundation, the largest regional women's fund in the nation. She also worked at several area non-profits including CitySquare, Rainbow Days, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and KERA. Wills resides in Frisco, Texas with her husband and two young daughters.
