Sheraton Reston Hotel Continues to Win Awards Including the SPG Ambassador Award from Starwood Hotels and Resorts
RESTON, VA (PRWEB) February 29, 2016 -- This month the Sheraton Reston Hotel was honored with the SPG Ambassador Award, celebrating delivery of exceptional experiences to Starwood Preferred Guest program (SPG) members. The hotel was one of just five hotels throughout the brand’s North American hotels to receive the award. The hotel has a long standing reputation of receiving awards and giving back to the community. At Crescent Hotels and Resorts’ last leadership conference the coveted Community Outreach Award was given to the Sheraton Reston Hotel. “We are honored to receive this award, as it not only speaks to the culture of our hotels, but our company as well,” said Anderson. “We feel it is so important to give back to the local community and be a strong community leader.” The hotels participated in a fundraiser event every month with hotel team members volunteering their time. The nonprofit charities that the hotels assisted included: American Heart Association, Ronald McDonald Charity Homes, Brides Against Breast Cancer, Locks of Love Hair Donation, Backpack Drive, Wounded Warrior Project, Yellow Ribbon Fund, Toys for Tots and Katherine Hanley Family Shelter.
Last winter the Sheraton Reston hosted the 3rd Brigade of the 104th Training Division annual Holiday Meal hosted for over 200 soldiers and their friends and family. “When we heard that the 3rd Brigade did not have a venue for their annual Holiday Meal, not only did we offer our services, we also were proud to underwrite the entire cost of the event,” said Anderson.
