Sherwood Ford Stuff-A-Giant Truck Event will help families in need this Christmas
Drivers in Strathcona County can bring toy donations to Sherwood Ford this November
SHERWOOD PARK, Alb. , Nov. 1, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sherwood Ford is hosting its Stuff-A-Giant Truck Event throughout November to gather supplies for families in need this holiday season. The dealership will be collecting toy donations to be distributed to families around Strathcona County. The donations will be given to the Strathcona Christmas Bureau for distribution.
Drivers who would like to support families in need by making a donation are encouraged to visit the dealership's sales or service center in November. Gift donations are needed for infants, young children and teenagers. For infants, gift ideas include blankets, hampers, picture books and baby toys. Gifts for young children could include books, colouring books, dolls, stuffed animals, board games, trucks and cars. Present ideas for teenagers include handheld electronics such as portable speakers, books, headphones and perfume/cologne. Gifts should be unopened and unwrapped.
Sherwood Ford is excited to support the community through its Stuff-A-Giant Truck Event. The dealership has hosted this event in previous years to great success, filling its truck and helping to supply hampers to families in need. The dealership is also currently collecting donations for the Strathcona Food Bank and has done many other fundraising events in the past. Sherwood Ford is a community-oriented dealership located in Sherwood Park near Edmonton, Alberta.
The Strathcona Christmas Bureau is a registered non-profit charity that supplies hampers to families in need every Christmas. The organization is always accepting monetary donations and has a goal of $100,000 for its 2022 campaign. Last year, it was able to provide hampers to 500 families in Strathcona County, which was a six percent increase over the previous year. Community members who know of a family in need can make a referral to the organization by calling the Hamper Coordinator at 780-918-2521 in November.
