A Design Futurist/Artist has achieved worldwide recognition after being mentioned in the Fast Company 2019 World Changing Ideas Awards. Shihan Zhang received an honorable mention in Personal Carbon Economy, at the Creativity category.

Shihan Zhang who received an honorable mention in the 2019 awards has become a highly sort after professional.
Since starting her career, Shihan Zhang has become highly regarded in her field and has been recognized by International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA), Core77 Awards, San Francisco Design Week Awards, to name a few. This latest honorable mention has once again put her in the spotlight.
Now in its third year, the Fast Company Changing Ideas Awards honors artists, businesses, policies, projects, and concepts that offer innovative solutions to the issues facing humanity. From 2,000 entries from across the globe, there were more than 200 finalists, with 300 honorable mentions and 17 winners. Design Futurist/artist Shihan Zhang, was one of those who received an honorable mention in the Personal Carbon Economy, at the Creativity category.
The Personal Carbon Economy campaign which was to promote carbon responsible future gained recognition around the world and became a huge success. The aim of the campaign was to make people aware of how the earth is being damaged through Greenhouse gases and how changes need to be made and how everyone needs to work together. This campaign really changed people's views and turned heads; hence the reason why it was acknowledged by the Fast Company 2019 World Changing Ideas Awards.
It is not surprising that Shihan Zhang has been recognized in the prestigious awards. Her works have been recognized by International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA), Core77 Awards, San Francisco Design Week Awards, etc. She is currently an incubator artist in Gray Area Foundation for the Arts, and exhibition director for PRIMER Conferences and SF Design week Award Exhibitions.
