Shoe Carnival Raises Over $154,000 for Breast Cancer Research in October
Evansville, Indiana (PRWEB) November 21, 2014 -- Popular family footwear retailer, Shoe Carnival, is thrilled to announce the results of its fundraising campaign last month for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For the month of October, Shoe Carnival sold pink wristbands for $1.00 a piece at each of their domestic retail locations, with the proceeds to be donated toward Breast Cancer research.
Today, Shoe Carnival announced that their campaign collected more than $154,000 to be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). The BCRF’s mission is to prevent breast cancer and search for a cure through promoting and funding the most cutting-edge research in the field.
The campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness was held at over 389 domestic retail locations. This is the second year Shoe Carnival has participated, and after the success of the first two years, they plan to continue on an annual basis.
