AUSTIN, June 26, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Shop LC, a nationally broadcast home shopping channel and e-commerce site, is donating face masks to frontline workers in need all across America. Today, the donations surpassed 100,000 masks.

It's unlikely that a business is ever prepared for something as unprecedented as the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Shop LC Merchandising team was able to immediately shift and acquire essential items to help Shop LC customers and frontline workers during the Stay Home, Stay Safe orders by acquiring items like face masks and hand sanitizer. "If we are going to sell masks, we also need to give," says Agarwal.
Shop LC is already providing meals to children in need through the Shop LC One for One Program. Recently, the program is celebrating a 20 million meal milestone since beginning in October 2017. During the coronavirus pandemic, Shop LC has also donated over 100,000 masks to more than 130 facilities in 34 states.
"Many of our customers are part of the vulnerable population. These are people who cannot easily leave their homes and have no one to turn to during this critical time," says Michelle Long, Director of CSR & Communications, Shop LC. "Back in January, when the risk of the virus coming to the US became known, customers began requesting these products be made available. For these reasons, we decided to make face masks, hand sanitizer, and other essential products available to our customers, because they cannot easily obtain them on their own. It was simply the right thing to do to also include frontline workers."
