Short’s Travel Management Acquires the FindIt Application Developed by ProcureApp
Waterloo, Iowa (PRWEB) August 28, 2013 -- Short’s Travel Management engineered the back-end system for the FindIt process in 2011, which allows corporate travelers to search travel on consumer websites and email the itinerary to FindIt. FindIt then applies the traveler’s profile, travel policy, and their company’s negotiated discount to the selected itinerary and searches for better alternative flights and fares. In 2012, ProcureApp made the process even more seamless for the traveler with the FindIt App, building on their browser extension application technology. With the FindIt App, travelers don’t need to remember to email their itinerary to FindIt; the browser extension automatically displays when a flight is selected at an airline or consumer website, and the traveler can then choose to send their flight to the FindIt process at Short’s Travel Management for their travel booking and management. The FindIt App will be made available via Google Chrome and Firefox Webstores to ensure seamless updates, enhanced security, stability and usability. This solution is the next evolution in corporate travel management, allowing travelers to search flights across the internet, and still book and manage their travel through their Travel Management Company. Short’s Travel Management will now have exclusive rights to develop, innovate and offer the solution with the acquisition of FindIt. Short’s Travel Management currently provides the FindIt solution to their corporate travel management clients, and plans to make the FindIt application available to other Travel Management Companies as well.
