ShoulderHill Entertainment Adds Broadcast Veteran Rich McHugh to Former Vice President Al Gore's 24 Hours of Reality Production Team
Rich McHugh former supervising producer in NBC's Investigative Unit joins ShoulderHill to Produce 24-Hour live global broadcast hosted by Al Gore
NEW YORK, Sep. 05, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ShoulderHill Entertainment, the NYC and LA based television and film company, has hired industry veteran Rich McHugh to Co-Executive Produce it's live 24-Hour Global Broadcast, 24 hours of Reality, hosted by Former US Vice President Al Gore.
ShoulderHill is again partnering with The Climate Reality Project for the 8th annual "24 Hours of Reality" broadcast which airs December 3-4, 2018. The 24-hour live event travels the world exploring how the climate crisis is transforming the Earth and how we can solve it by shifting to clean energy. The program will be carried by television broadcast partners globally and streamed online on multiple digital platforms. In 2017, the program reached over 500 million television households, drew 39 million online views, and garnered over 555 mm social media impressions, becoming the world's largest social media broadcast on a social cause. The 2018 program will focus on the many impacts our changing climate is having on human health worldwide and bring celebrities, musicians, elected officials, and thought leaders together with former Vice President Al Gore to inspire people across continents to act. The program will also feature Vice President Gore delivering some of the iconic slideshow presentation featured in the Paramount Pictures films An Inconvenient Truth and An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power.
Rich McHugh joins ShoulderHill from NBC News, where he was supervising producer in NBC's Investigative Unit. Prior to NBC, McHugh spent eight years at Good Morning America. As Co-Executive Producer, McHugh's role is to lead the team in producing documentary shorts from around the world as well as feature stories on climate change and profiles of everyday people fighting to make a difference. He will also be be producing several hours of the live show.

The show's executive producers, Peter M. The program will begin on Monday, December 3rd, 2018 and will broadcast live from Los Angeles.
